Happy International Women’s Day, Safety Pins & Recognizing Jaxon!

International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, a day to call for gender equality, and a day to reflect on how we can all acknowledge and support the women in our lives. Though these things should happen each and every day, we take a pause to recognize and celebrate as a team today.

Safety Team Pins: Recognizing Jaxon!

Jaxon has been an integral part of the Safety Committees in the Spring District for the last year and a half. They always have something to bring to the table during meetings. Jaxon will share all kinds of safety concerns and observations throughout Showcase café, and always has input on how to avoid injuries and incidents when we discuss these in the meetings. Their favorite color is red, which inspired the creation of the new red Safety Pins. We have two Safety Pins, red and gold, both of which are available to be earned by Team Members with an eye for safety. The Safety Team has given several out so far to Team Members that are consistent with following safety practices, such as using cut gloves and team lifting heavy items.

-Stay safe out there! ❤️ Safety Chef Riley

Safety Corner: Message from The Safety Team

Broken/Malfunctioning Equipment

We use many different pieces of equipment throughout our day, and we need to make sure that it is in good working order. When using equipment that plugs into the wall, please be sure to inspect the cord and plug for any damage before use. Check that the grounding pin, the bottom of the three prongs on the plug, is intact. Look up and down the cord, checking for holes in the wire casing. If any equipment is damaged, please do not use! Let a manager or member of the Safety Team know so we can work to get the equipment repaired or replaced. Thanks everyone and have a lovely weekend!

Digital Idea Box

Did you know Lavish Roots has a Digital Idea Box? The Lavish Roots Digital Idea Box is a tool designed to help communication and innovation within our organization. It gives you an open opportunity to share feedback, suggestions, and creative ideas directly with Lavish Roots partners! While we always encourage face-to-face discussions with your managers, we recognize that some may prefer to share thoughts anonymously; the Digital Idea Box allows for just that; though there’s still an opportunity within the form for you to share your name so that we can collaborate on your ideas. Your insights are crucial in driving positive changes and improvements, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can continue to grow and thrive together.
