Health & Wellness
What is Wellbeing?
Wellbeing is more than just avoiding the flu. It is the sum total of all aspects of individual and community wellness, from building personal resilience to cultivating a safe and supportive community for all identities. It is an active, conscious, self-directed, evolving, multidimensional, self-affirming process of making choices to achieve the full potential of your whole self. How “wellbeing” is defined is different from person to person.
At Lavish Roots, we recognize that your wellbeing and your self-care practices are completely unique to you. In whichever ways you choose to care for yourself and others, we want to emphasize that the Lavish Roots community is here to support you throughout the many dimensions of wellbeing. Below you will find wellness resources organized into 8 categories: Emotional, Social, Intellectual, Physical, Occupational, Spiritual, Environmental, and Financial. If you have any resources or links you’d like to add to our Health & Wellness page, please email our Creative Director, Sarah Dorfler, at sarah@lavishroots.com.
