Thank you & Farewell to Chef Josue

🌟 Farewell to Chef Josue - A Culinary Maestro's Legacy 🌟

It is with mixed emotions that we bid adieu to Chef Josue as he embarks on a new chapter after nearly six years with us. Josue's journey began in 2018 as a Jr. Sous Chef in our Seattle location, where his passion for cuisine and dedication quickly earned him promotions to the role of Sous Chef and then Sr. Sous Chef. His culinary prowess and leadership were then showcased at the Crash Pad Cafe in Block 16 within Bellevue's Spring District. Chef Josue has left an incredible mark on our LR team, becoming a cornerstone of our kitchens and cafes.

As we express our gratitude for Josue's unwavering commitment and countless contributions, we can't help but feel a sense of loss. His presence in our culinary spaces has been more than just professional; it's been a source of inspiration and camaraderie. We will miss his creative flair, attention to detail, and the positive energy he brought to every kitchen.

Chef Josue, thank you for being an integral part of our culinary journey. Your legacy here will endure, and we wish you nothing but success and fulfillment in your upcoming adventures. May your next chapter be as flavorful and rewarding as the dishes you've crafted for us. Bon voyage! (Written by Chef Brandon S. LaVielle from the whole Lavish Roots Team)

Fall Safety Tips

At Lavish Roots, we care about your safety both in and outside of the workplace! Fall brings new challenges when it comes to personal safety and health. Many of us will be driving to work in the dark. It’s rainy, it’s wet, it’s cold. With the season changing, colds, flu and COVID begin to raise their ugly heads. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing tips and ideas to keep you safe and healthy on your way to work and at home.

COVID and Flu Season

The best and most important way to avoid getting sick is to wash your hands often and thoroughly. Drinking water can help you avoid getting sick and can speed up recovery if you do fall ill. Eating balanced meals can also help with immune system function, giving your body what it needs! Be sure to exercise regularly and try to get on a regular sleep schedule. All these things together will help fight off fall and winter sickness! Stay healthy, stay safe!

Fall Driving

Driving to work in the dark and wet can be dangerous if you’re not careful. Be sure to use your headlights, see and be seen! Pay close attention to road conditions, during this rainy season, water can collect on roadways, increasing the likelihood of hydroplaning. Keep a safe distance from other cars, braking distance is increased in wet conditions. Check on your tires! Many reputable tire shops will check your tires for free. Wiper blades are an essential safety tool, so make sure that yours are in good working order. Drive carefully!
