Fall Safety Tips
At Lavish Roots, we care about your safety both in and outside of the workplace! Fall brings new challenges when it comes to personal safety and health. Many of us will be driving to work in the dark. It’s rainy, it’s wet, it’s cold. With the season changing, colds, flu and COVID begin to raise their ugly heads. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing tips and ideas to keep you safe and healthy on your way to work and at home.
COVID and Flu Season
The best and most important way to avoid getting sick is to wash your hands often and thoroughly. Drinking water can help you avoid getting sick and can speed up recovery if you do fall ill. Eating balanced meals can also help with immune system function, giving your body what it needs! Be sure to exercise regularly and try to get on a regular sleep schedule. All these things together will help fight off fall and winter sickness! Stay healthy, stay safe!
Fall Driving
Driving to work in the dark and wet can be dangerous if you’re not careful. Be sure to use your headlights, see and be seen! Pay close attention to road conditions, during this rainy season, water can collect on roadways, increasing the likelihood of hydroplaning. Keep a safe distance from other cars, braking distance is increased in wet conditions. Check on your tires! Many reputable tire shops will check your tires for free. Wiper blades are an essential safety tool, so make sure that yours are in good working order. Drive carefully!
